How to choose your windchime

We have designed an interactive listening experience to help you choose from the range of Windsong Chimes. The first step is to listen to the various tunings to determine the pitch and melody that suits your temperament.

Individual responses to the sound of wind chimes varies with each listener, their temperament and personality. To help you understand the various emotional responses the different tunings of our wind chimes can invoke, here is an approximate guide.

Contemplation

Wind chimes with a minor tuning enhance contemplation and meditation. They are tuned to bring on mindfulness and a connection with the elements.

Calmness

Wind chimes with a pentatonic tuning have been developed to soothe and relax. Each of our these relaxing wind chimes have been tuned to calm the mind, body and soul.

Our tranquil and harmonic wind chimes have been tuned to create a humming resonance within you and your peaceful surroundings.

Where to hang your wind chime

The quality of the materials used in the manufacture of Windsong Chimes means you can hang your wind chimes in many places in and around the home. However to protect it from the harsher elements of the weather we do recommend they be placed in a semi-protected position.

Think about the size of it too - the hanging height measurements are from the keyring at the top, down to the bottom of the wind sail. The image below shows the chimes to approximate scale.

When placing your wind chime, think of it as a pot plant. Move it around until you are happy with how it looks, and most importantly, how it sounds. That perfect little spot you had in mind might not have enough breeze, or worse still, may be a wind tunnel.

Consider hanging your chime inside where you can control its sound by opening and closing a door or window. If they don't ring often indoors you can play them each time you pass, which is still very effective.
